Comprehensive Epilepsy Center

Overview

Our Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is a specialized service staffed by a team of people whose major focus is on the treatment of Epilepsy. This multi-disciplinary team includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists, and specialized nurses and EEG technicians. We see our patients by referral to allow continuation of care with the local neurologist and primary physicians.

Today, there are an increasing number of treatment options for patients with epilepsy. There are also several disorders that can look like epilepsy but require unique treatment. You should request an evaluation at our Comprehensive Epilepsy Center if you continue to have seizures despite medical treatment, experience unpleasant side effects, or have questions about your diagnosis. Our specialists can provide further information about epilepsy and other options which may be available to you.

Women with epilepsy have unique health concerns and should consider a consultation with one of our epilepsy specialists early in their care. We can help you choose a birth control method that works well with your seizure medication, as well as plan ahead for pregnancy by choosing a seizure medication with a low risk of birth defects.
