Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern


The Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation (NMFF) provides innovative care for all aspects of cardiac and vascular diseases and conditions. Comprised of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, and cardiac behavioral medicine professionals, we offer world class care in the heart of Chicago. Our physicians, nurses and other health care professionals are dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care.

  • Cardiology provides innovative care for all aspects of cardiac diseases and conditions. If you need to see a cardiologist, NMFF Cardiology offers an outstanding level of care and expertise.

  • Cardiac Behavioral Medicine provides treatment for depression, anxiety, stress, changes in lifestyle behaviors (e.g., smoking cessation, weight loss), adjustment to a cardiac event, and emotional preparation for cardiac and vascular surgery.

  • Cardiac Surgery provides all forms of surgical treatment for cardiac diseases including many less commonly available procedures.

  • Vascular Surgery provides diagnosis and treatment for diseases and disorders of the peripheral arteries, veins and lymphatic system. It also specializes in minimally invasive procedures and oversees a noninvasive vascular laboratory.
